Team GB did us proud at the Paris Olympics this year, and Scotland’s athletes were a significant part of that success.
Scottish competitors secured a remarkable total of 13 medals—three gold, four silver, and six bronze – highlighting the nation’s sporting excellence on the world stage.

The success of these Scottish athletes at the Paris Olympics is a source of immense pride for the country. Their achievements reflect the strength of our local sporting programmes and the incredible talent that these clubs continue to produce. As we celebrate these 13 medals, we look forward to seeing even more from Scotland’s athletes in future competitions. Whether it’s in the pool, on the track, or in the arena, Scotland’s Olympians have shown that they are among the best in the world.

Thanks to funding provided to the local charity Enjoy Leisure by the SafeDeposits Scotland Community Fund, specialised training will take place to ensure that every first-aid-trained colleague at the charity is equipped to manage a catastrophic bleeding incident.

In preparation for the busy summer season, Enjoy Leisure, East Lothian’s health and wellbeing charity, is set to carry out essential upgrades at Dunbar Leisure Pool. To allow this work to take place, the swimming pool will be temporarily closed from Monday 26th May, reopening Monday 30th of June.

Thanks to grant funding provided to Enjoy Leisure by CWP Ltd through Dunbar Community Council’s Community Benefit Fund, Dunbar Leisure Pool will receive updated pool equipment, including storage equipment for swimming lessons and bleed control kits, which are vital in a leisure centre setting.
