In preparation for the busy summer season, Enjoy Leisure, East Lothian’s health and wellbeing charity, is set to carry out essential upgrades at Dunbar Leisure Pool. To allow this work to take place, the swimming pool will be temporarily closed from Monday 26th May, reopening Monday 30th of June.
The upgrades will include structural improvements to the flume area and replacement of the wave machine.
During the closure, swimmers are welcome to use any of the other Enjoy Leisure swimming pools across East Lothian:
Bill Axon, our Chief Executive said, “As we approach the temporary closure of the swimming pool at Dunbar Leisure Pool, we’d like to thank our members and visitors for their patience. We’re confident they’ll notice a real improvement once the essential works are completed.
“These upgrades will enhance the visitor experience and we’ve been working closely with our partners at East Lothian Council, who coordinate maintenance for Enjoy Leisure, to ensure the project runs smoothly.”
During this time, the rest of the site will remain open.

Enjoy Leisure, East Lothian’s health and wellbeing charity, will bring together young swimmers from across the county for a day of racing and fun at its first Winter Swim Gala this November.

Thanks to support from North Berwick Trust, Enjoy Leisure, East Lothian’s health and wellbeing charity has unveiled a new AquaRun at North Berwick Sports Centre. The inflatable obstacle course features a rope swing and a range of challenges that test balance.

Members and visitors at three Enjoy Leisure gyms will soon benefit from new state-of-the-art fitness equipment and refreshed workout spaces as part of a £240,000 investment by East Lothian Council. Work at the three gyms, managed by East Lothian’s health and wellbeing charity Enjoy Leisure, will begin at Meadowmill Sports Centre in September before moving to North Berwick Sports Centre and Dunbar Leisure Pool.
