Our Parkinson's Programme

Thanks to support from Parkinson’s UK, we’re now offering exercise classes specifically for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s. The classes are led by experienced level 3 qualified exercise instructors who have also undertaken additional training awareness of Parkinson’s delivered by Parkinson’s UK.

Classes are circuit-based class and are ideal for those recently diagnosed or with mild to moderate Parkinson’s symptoms. The level of exercise will be adapted to ability.

“We worked to ascertain the level of weight/resistance that was comfortable – and found a weight that would challenge me not just on circuit one, but also circuit three. I was given a chart, which Fiona stressed was my chart and that I could change it as time progressed, depending on how I feel at the time, but the idea is not to plateau for too long.”

-Ken, Parkinson’s referral participant
