    LOCH CENTRE SWIMMING POOL CLOSURE - UPDATE 03/02/23


    During essential routine maintenance work at the Loch Centre in Tranent, issues related to the roof were discovered which require further investigation and in due course remedial works.
    As a result the Loch Centre swimming pool will be closed until further notice while assessment and remedial work is completed.

    We are presently working to offer customers alternative venues for regular swimming and swim lessons. We will also be finding a temporary home for Tranent Swimming Club.

    We hope to reopen the pool as soon as practical and will issue a further update on this in due course.

    Enjoy Leisure apologises for any inconvenience and is committed to making sure that there is as little disruption as possible to our customers.

    We plan to offer customers alternatives to enable them to keep up their active lifestyles and will update on these as soon as possible.

    The remainder of the Loch Centre - gym, dance studios, hall  - are open as normal with meeting rooms expected to open on Monday 6 February.

LOCH CENTRE SWIMMING POOL CLOSURE

We are sorry to say that the Loch Centre Swimming Pool is closed until further notice. This is due to essential investigation and maintenance works taking place. 

Welcome to the Loch Centre, Tranent's dedicated Sports and Community Centre.  There's always lots going on .. what with a 25m swimming pool, multi-purpose sports hall, 2 dance studios, Bodyworks Gym and Wiggles Soft Play, a multi-level adventure for children up to 8 years!  With additional craft and meeting rooms and a performance stage in the main hall, the Loch Centre has even more to offer residents and visitors to Tranent.

Facilties include:

  • 25m 4-lane swimming pool
  • Health Suite with Sauna & Steam Room
  • Activity Hall with 2 badminton courts and stage performance area 
  • Bodyworks Gym with a range of cardiovascular and resistance equipment
  • 2 x Dance Studios
  • Wiggles, a multi-level adventure soft play area
  • 2 x Community Meeting Rooms
  • On Site Cafe overviewing the swimming pool*
  • Retail Display
  • Onsite car parking, including electronic charging points
  • Bicycle Racks

At enjoyleisure everyone can enjoy being physically active.

Where to find us?

  • Walking / Cycling: the Loch Centre is 5minutes walk from the high street, located on Well Wynd neighbouring the Health Centre and Ross High School.
  • By Car: follow signs for Tranent, from the high street follow directions towards Ormiston, and take the first right into Well Wynd.  Loch Centre is located on the left.   Within the car park there are two dedicated electric charging bays.
