Dunbar and East Linton Area Partnership funding makes a splash at Dunbar Leisure Pool

Thanks to generous grant funding from the Dunbar and East Linton Area Partnership, East Lothian’s health and wellbeing charity, Enjoy Leisure has received new swimming pool teaching benches. These benches not only offer rest areas for swimmers but also create designated instruction zones for children during swimming lessons.

With over 2,300 people learning to swim with us each month, demand for swimming lessons continues to grow and we play a key role in delivering this vital skill to the East Lothian community.

Bill Axon, our Chief Executive said, “Learning to swim is such an important skill, especially in a county like East Lothian, which is right on the coastline. Equipment like teaching benches, which may not initially appear to be safety-related, are essential for our coaches to keep track of all children at all times. They’re a dedicated space for children to wait before, during and after lessons.”
