Empowering Youth at Enjoy Leisure

We’re extremely proud to have attained the Young Persons Guarantee accreditation. We are committed to providing opportunities for young people within our community. We believe that young people play an important role in our centre teams, helping us deliver valuable service to all our members and visitors by consistently prioritising high levels of customer service in their roles.

The Young Person’s Guarantee brings together employers, partners and young people. It aims to connect every 16 to 24 year old in Scotland to an opportunity. This could be a job, apprenticeship, further or higher education, training or volunteering. It could also be an enterprise opportunity.

Young people are often over looked but at Enjoy Leisure we believe that giving opportunities that allow people to learn important skills such as team work, communication and customer service helps us to provide a great experience for our customers and colleagues.

We offer learning and development opportunities when new colleagues join our team that upskill them in areas such as sport & leisure, Health & Safety and teaching. Beyond these foundation skills we partner with development agencies such as Direct Partners, East Lothian Works and Edinburgh Colleague to access certificated courses that offer opportunities to develop in disciplines such as sports coaching and leadership.
