Enjoy Leisure, East Lothian’s health and Wellbeing charity, is delighted to announce that the new gym at Aubigny Sports Centre will open to customers on Monday 24th February 2025.
With the addition of a much requested free-weight area, a multipurpose exercise rig, and plans to introduce new functional classes to the already extensive fitness class programme, we are hopeful that more people will be encouraged to try a new activity.
Bill Axon, our Chief Executive said, “Enjoy Leisure customers and members have been waiting very patiently for us to announce the opening of our new gym facility and we can’t wait to welcome them through the doors on Monday.
“Working closely with our East Lothian Council partners on this project has been highly effective as we’ve shared the vision of delivering a top-notch facility. Together, we’ve ensured the new gym meets the needs of our communities and we’re grateful for their teamwork on this.
“With the new facility, we hope to see many of our members coming along to try the new equipment, which includes a functional training rig and a free-weight area. We also look forward to welcoming new faces and members to this fantastic new addition, especially as our affordable, and extensive monthly membership allows access to our facilities county-wide, with no contracts, unlimited classes, access to our swimming pools and health suites!
“As East Lothian’s health and wellbeing charity, everyone’s welcome at Enjoy Leisure.”
Cllr Colin McGinn, Cabinet Spokesperson for Community Wellbeing and Sport, Countryside and Leisure, said, “The new gym area is a wonderful addition to the Aubigny Sports Centre. The Council is committed to providing high-quality sport and recreation facilities in the community to help people make healthy choices and improve their wellbeing.
“I’m sure the opening of this gym extension will prove a popular and valuable asset for many years to come.”
Anyone looking to join as a member will gain access to the new Aubigny Sports Centre gym, as well as six other gym facilities, five pools, and 100s of classes across East Lothian. More information on membership can be found here.
