Enjoy Leisure unveils new pirate ship slide at Dunbar Leisure Pool

A brand new swimming pool slide has been installed at Dunbar Leisure Pool and it’s guaranteed to make a splash!

Thanks to funding from Tyne & Esk Rural Development Fund supported by the Scottish Government, a new pirate ship slide has dropped its anchor in the swimming pool.

Installed on Tuesday 24^th and Wednesday 25^th February, the new pirate ship slide offers families even more ways to play and have fun in the water!

This latest addition joins the pool’s existing toys and water features, including the water tipper and turtle skoosh, as well as the popular flume and wave machine.

Bill Axon, Chief Executive of Enjoy Leisure, said, “We’re extremely grateful for the support from Scottish Ministers in conjunction Tyne & Esk Local Action Group. Swimming at Dunbar Leisure Pool is all about getting families active and having fun in the water. We’re always looking for ways to boost children’s water confidence through active play and this slide brings something new to our leisure pool.

“There’s never been a better time to visit Dunbar Leisure Pool. We can’t wait to welcome both returning and new families to try out the new toy and make use of the wider facilities.”

Hilary Smith, Local Action Group Co Chair, said, “Tyne & Esk are thrilled to support the exciting new addition to Dunbar Leisure Pool, and we’re confident it will bring plenty of joy and fun for everyone—now and for many years to come!”
