We've created a range of Lane Swimming Training Guides to help you achieve your swim fitness goals!
Tailored to 4 different levels of swimming ability, these guides provide suggested workouts for you to do in the pool to increase your swimming ability and fitness.
Option 1: Recreational Slow Lane
Is this me? You normally swim with your head above the water, breast stroke. You would swim around 10 length in your session and take a break after approx. 2 lengths.
RECREATIONAL SLOW LANE SWIM TRAINING GUIDE
Option 2: Recreational Medium Lane
Is this me? You can swim with your head under the water between breaths. You would normally swim around 25 lengths in your session, and can swim approx. 8 lengths before needing a break.
RECREATIONAL MEDIUM LANE SWIM TRAINING GUIDE
Option 3: Fitness Medium Lane
Is this me? You are a competent swimmer with your head in the water between breaths. You would normally swim 40 lengths in a session. You can swim approx. 20+ lengths without needing a break.
MEDIUM FITNESS LANE SWIM TRAINING GUIDE
Option 4: Fast Fitness Lane
Is this me? You are a very competent swimmer, perhaps are or have been a member of a swimming or triathlon club. You normally swim front crawl, sometimes tumble turn, and can swim 25m in 30 sec or less.
