Old Course Gallop 5k Run

Distance: 5K+: 5.134 kilometres

Participants must be aged 12 years and over to take part in this event.

Run starts and finishes at Stables Pavillion Musselburgh, Racecourse Complex, Balcarres Road, Musselburgh, EH21 7SR.

All competitors compete at their own risk the organisers will not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses which may arise as consequence of participation in this event.

Participants should ensure they are medically fit enough for a 5km run.

All runners must not compete in these races unless they are in good health on the day.

This event is not chip timed. All runners will take note of their own results from the stopwatch clock at the finish line.

Photographs and video may be taken during the event for promotional purposes. By entering, participants consent to the use of their image unless they notify the organiser otherwise in advance.

All runners must obey marshal instructions and take responsibility for their own safety whilst running the course.

All runners must follow the course as designed.

The 5k route is formed of three loops of circular track.

This is a flat course with 5m of elevation.

Race entries are available online only, no postal entries.

Registration will take place at The Stables Pavillion from 11:30am.

This event is limited to 120 runners.

All runners must show entry confirmation at registration.

Entries on the day are NOT available.

Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Limited parking is available close to the start/finish area in the following car park:

There will be a baggage stowage area within The Stables building.

The baggage stowage area will be monitored but all bags are left at the owner’s risk.

There will be marshals sweeping the course at 1:15pm to marshal remaining runners directly to the finish line.

This event is beginner friendly, we ask all runners to note the cut off time reflets a 5km pace of 9min/km.

Dogs, wheeled carriages and cycles are not permitted.

Runners must not be accompanied or followed, either on foot or by bicycle or vehicle of any description.

The pushing of persons in any device (including but not limited to buggy, pushchair, stroller or similar) is not permitted.
