Swim Assessments

We ask all children aged 5+ years looking to join our swimming lesson programme to attend a swim assessment, so we can determine which level of our SwimSkills programme they should be place into.

Following the Swim Assessment, the teacher will inform you of their allocated level and current availability.  If a space is available, you can sign up to the membership scheme and your child's space will be confirmed.  (Please see membership sign up procedures below).

If no spaces are available at your preferred time / location, your child's details will be passed onto our swimming development team who will alert you when a space becomes available.

Application Process

Applications to join the Get in the Swim Membership Scheme should be made at your preferred Sports Centre.

To comply with banking regulations, and to protect customers from fraud and identity theft, all direct debit membership applications are subject to ID verification checks.

Please bring the following forms of ID to complete your application:

  • 1 form of photographic ID
  • 1 form of proof of address
  • 1 form of proof of bank account ownership.
